About Us
Art & adventure for healthy minds
Mission
Infinityland is on a mission to expand access to holistic, accessible, and integrated mental healthcare for the most distressed generation in history by delivering reimagined treatment experiences that harness the healing power of nature and creativity as evidence-based methods for holistic care.
Vision
We’re bringing a global network of creative care centers to the world that unite clinical treatment, expressive art therapy, nature immersion, and community connection to strengthen mental health and well-being in local communities while connecting global citizens to experience culturally diverse approaches to healing across different regions.
-
Social prescribing is about helping people take control of their health by connecting them with community activities instead of just relying on meds. Professionals may prescribe treatments in the form of art classes, group fitness, cooking workshops, or even walks in the park, treating the whole person—mentally, physically, and socially. NeuroArts uses creativity—like painting, music, or dance—to heal the brain and reduce stress. Together, they offer a fresh, non-medical approach to feeling better by tapping into both your mind and body in fun, creative ways as an alternative form of care.
99 Problems & Stress is Definitely 1
-
A Generation in Distress
Our generation is more stressed out than ever—anxiety, depression, and burnout are through the roof—we’re talking epidemic levels of mental distress. For the first time in history, mental illness is rising faster than physical disease, and it’s clear we need real, holistic support that actually meets us where we’re at.
-
The Loneliness Epidemic
Loneliness is hitting hard, and it’s not just emotional—it’s messing with our actual physical health. Think higher risks of heart problems, diabetes, even memory loss. With social isolation on the rise and real connection getting harder to find, it’s time for mental health care that brings people together, not just treats them in isolation.
-
Over Over-Prescribing
There’s a major gap between what the system pushes and what people actually want. Case in point: around 80% of anxiety and depression treatments still rely on meds, but Millennials and Gen Z are increasingly turning to holistic, preventive care. These generations are choosing natural remedies that better align with their values to complement or replace pharmaceuticals.
-
The System is Flawed
The U.S. healthcare system is deeply fragmented—most people need to see 1 to 3 different providers just to address a single issue. Nearly half of U.S. counties don’t have a licensed psychiatrist, and more than 50% of states face a critical shortage of mental health professionals. Preventative care through expressive arts therapy offers a scalable solution proven to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress by up to 73%.
Our Fix
Clinical Care
This is the foundation—licensed professionals providing mental health support like therapy, assessments, and personalized care plans. But instead of being isolated or disconnected, it’s part of a larger environment that integrates the physical space, creative sessions, and engaged community as a quadfecta for holistic treatment.
Expressive Arts
Art therapy gives you a way to process emotions when words aren’t enough—through painting, music, movement, and more. When paired with clinical care, it deepens healing and makes the process feel more human and inspired than what traditional talk therapy or prescription drugs can offer alone.
Nature Immersion
Spending time in nature literally reduces stress, helps you think clearer, and improves your overall well-being. Having access to green space while receiving care changes the energy—it’s grounding, calming, and reminds you that healing doesn’t have to happen in a sterile room.
Community Care
We heal better when we’re not doing it alone. Being surrounded by a supportive community through group classes, communcal spaces, and shared experiences, creates a sense of belonging and connection—which is especially important when isolation is such a big part of what’s hurting us.
Let’s touch some freakin’ grass!
-
Places
Our creative care centers are like makerspaces for your mental health—mixing clinical care, art therapy, nature vibes, and community all in one spot. You can see a doctor and hit up a group art class on the same day, in the same place, making it way easier to get the full, accessible, and seamless care you need.
-
Programs
Our programs turn wanderlust into medicine—with curated travel experiences that immerse you into new environments, cultures, art, and architecture. By exploring the world through the lens of nature and creativity, these adventures help reset your mind, boost your mood, spark fresh ideas, and leave you feeling mentally invigorated.

We're Longing to Bathe in Beauty
Neuroaesthetics is all about how our brains and bodies react to things like beauty, light, patterns, and nature, and it's totally changing the way we think about social spaces like hospitals, schools, and even workplaces. We're seeing things like biophilic hospitals that help people heal faster, calming classrooms that make learning easier, and workspaces designed to reduce burnout—all of which show that design isn't just about looks anymore, it's a game-changer for preventative care. The third space becomes the ultimate social care center for public health.
-
We're Craving Human Connection
In a world where everything's going digital, with AI and robots taking over, people are craving real, human connections more than ever. People are seeking experiences that help build authentic relationships, feel emotionally engaged, and be part of a community that heals together. That’s why social spaces, whether online or in person, are becoming hubs where connection and belonging are essential to fighting loneliness and tackling mental health struggles in a society that feels more isolated and tech-driven.
-
We're Demanding Drug-Free Alternatives
More and more people—especially younger generations—are opting out of prescription meds and looking for more holistic ways to take care of their mental health. Instead of pills, they’re turning to things like art therapy, being out in nature, and mindfulness to deal with anxiety, depression, and stress. This shift is changing the wellness game, pushing for more natural, non-invasive approaches that focus on prevention and alternative care that can complement or replace traditional treatment altogether.
The Sciencey Stuff
Basically, we’re using brain science (aka neuroscience) to make people feel better in real, lasting ways. Neuroaesthetics is all about how your brain reacts to beauty—like art, music, and nature—and how that actually helps heal legit issues like anxiety and stress. Neuroarts and neuroarchitecture show that being creative or just chilling in a calming, well-designed space can literally rewire your brain (neuroplasticity is the fancy word for that). Then there’s biophilia—the explanation for why being in nature just hits different—and biophilic design, which means building spaces that bring nature inside because it actually boosts your mood and mental health. Through social prescribing and arts prescribing, doctors and therapists are starting to recommend new solutions like art classes, museum visits, and gardening instead of just meds. It’s all about reimagining effective treatment plans, proving that art as medicine and nature as medicine aren’t just poetic—they’re powerful tools backed by data. This science drives everything we do, blending clinical care with real-world experiences to support mental health and whole-person well-being.

Our leadership team applies their expertise as designers and educators to honor the necessity of having a youth advisory board as key thought partners in the development process. It ensures that the next generation has a voice in key decisions regarding program design across creative expression, skill development, job creation, and therapeutic support. Additionally, our partnerships with local schools, cultural organizations, and government institutions further advance our efforts through holding seats on our community council. These boards co-design tools like our feedback survey, ensuring that we remain aligned with the values, heart, and soul of Puerto Viejo on an ongoing basis.
For the building's construction, we are collaborating with local architects, designers, artists, and residents to shape the space, integrating traditional materials and craftsmanship with sustainable methods and cutting-edge technology. Infinityland innovates upon existing models of art therapy by prioritizing artistic expression—through visual arts, music, and performance—over traditional methods like costly medications or talk therapy. This approach makes mental health care more accessible and adaptable to diverse needs. Inspired by organizations like Johns Hopkins' Arts + Mind Lab and the University of Florida’s Center for Arts in Medicine, we build on their research to create a transformative space that merges arts centers, makerspaces, and wellness retreats into a comprehensive facility that redefines holistic care.
What differentiates Infinityland is its neuroscience-informed architectural design. By incorporating elements like soft lighting, natural soundscapes, and fluid spatial layouts, we create an environment specifically designed to reduce stress, stimulate creativity, and foster well-being. This integration of architecture and art therapy will help disrupt the dependency on prescription drugs and provide a scalable prototype that can reshape local economies and global mental health care.
Infinityland also draws from unique experiences like Theaster Gates' Black Artist Retreat by fostering cultural pride and empowerment through remote experiences that cultivate a safe and inspiring place to create, uninterrupted. The US National Parks Arts Foundation also inspires our work through their highlighted relationship between the natural environment and artistic inspiration. Infinityland’s placement within Costa Rica’s vibrant landscapes expands this concept, making the environment an integral part of creative inspiration and the healing process.
Our approach ensures that we don't just cater to professional artists but extend mental health and creative benefits to entire communities. This reimagined model is needed to address the growing global demand for offline connection, along with culturally relevant, accessible, and holistic mental health solutions.
-
For development, we will align Infinityland with the Costa Rican Tourism Board’s (ICT) sustainable tourism initiatives and Costa Rican Coalition of Development Initiatives’ (CINDE) long-term investment strategies. For programming, we’ll collaborate with ICT’s Wellness Pura Vida strategy and Ministries of Youth & Culture, Health, Education, and Environment to create holistic programs that emphasize creativity, education, and wellness. Interntaionally, we aim to partner with Johns Hopkins' International Arts + Mind Lab and the University of Florida’s Center for Arts in Medicine to integrate evidence-based wellness practices into our programs as well. We foresee leveraging platforms of partners like Google, SXSW, Art Basel and Blackweek for events and marketing to expand reach to a global audience. We’ll also lead study abroad programs with schools, universities and organizations like the Boys & Girls Clubs, to foster cross-cultural exchange and youth development. Mission-aligned partnerships are our DNA to advance our movement.
